Dieter A. Heinz

President - German Airport Technology & Equipment (GATE)

Dieter A. Heinz, born in Wiesbaden, Germany, graduated in Mechanical Engineering, was Managing Director and Vice President of major companies in Airport Technology and Equipment in Germany and the US, he worked for Air-Consult, Frankfurt Airport Authority and as Head of Project Development & Marketing for an Aircraft Service Division. In his career as Consultant for Airport Related Projects he was engaged in Europe, the UAE and the Far & Middle East. Since 1992 he acts as President of GATE, the German Airport Technology & Equipment Ass.

GATE is the officially registered trade association of the German Airport Technology & Equipment industry. The objective is to initiate and coordinate international airport projects with qualified products and services. The challenge for GATE is to compete internationally with innovative systems and services.

Since 1992 GATE has been the German umbrella association for quality airport suppliers. GATE enhances worldwide the image of competence and reliability for its corporate members, encourages cooperation and supports strategic alliances. GATE promotes with emphasis the identity of an integrated airport technology industry for the benefit of its customers and members. GATE pools expertise by bringing together top German equipment suppliers and their core skills into one strategic alliance.
