EMA Best Airport Awards 2012
Please focus on the areas where you feel that your airport has made significant
achievements. This Awards Criteria is only a guide. You do not have to address
each category.
The EMA Airport Awards are presented to airports for excellence and achievement
across a whole range of disciplines.
To enter your airport for these prestigious 2012 Awards, please send the judging
panel a brief, in no more than 100 words, of why your airport should be honored
as ‘Best Airport’. Each entry should be sent through electronic / fax together
with a completed Awards Entry Form
Nominations for the 2012 commence at 09:00 AM (UAE Local Time) on March 31st,
2012, and end at 06:00 PM (UAE Local Time) on May 31st, 2012. The
nominations will be audited to come up with a list of the top nominees for the
voting process. Voting for the 2nd EMA Awards commences at 09:00 AM (UAE Local
Time) on June 31st, 2012, and ends at 06:00 PM (UAE Local Time) on
September 30th, 2012.
1. The nominator must provide all the relevant details about the nominee as per
the first EMA Nomination Form.
2. The EMA Award winners will be determined by the nominating and voting
community of the passengers & Airports of Emerging Markets The nominee in each
award category, who gets the highest number of valid votes, after the audit ,
wins the EMA Excellence Award. In the event of a tie, both shall be conferred
with the EMA Award.
3. Passenger can only nominate once for a particular nominee in each category.
If a person nominates for a particular category more than once, only the first
nomination will be counted.
4. Deadline for nominations is 06:00 PM (UAE Local Time) on 31,May 2012
5. Deadline for casting of votes is 06:00 PM (UAE Local Time) on 30 September
2012.
6. All entries will be treated in the strictest confidence.
7. Presentation of Awards: The announcement of the 2nd EMA BEST AIRPORTS Award
Winners will be 14t October 2012.

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
The nominator must evaluate the nominee on the following criteria:
1. An Airport must be involved in the Emerging Markets of ME, Africa, Indian
Subcontinent
2.An Airport Must be offering superior service and performance, ensuring the
highest quality products and services to the customers/consumers.
3. An Airport must have established leadership, innovations and relevant
contribution to the professionalism and development of the industry
ASSESSMENT PROCESS
The assessment process will be based on Nomination and Voting. The nominations
and votes will be audited by THE REPUTED FROST & SULLIVAN Emerging Market
Airports Awards (EMAA) guarantee that the Emerging Market Airport Survey and
Emerging marker Airport Awards are totally free of any commercial influence or
bias, and no airport featured in the study is able to exert any influence on the
final results. Airports do not pay to be included in this major global study.
All nominations are audited & vetted by our expert panel.
Any airport or supplier, who wises to participate has to nominate
their names & the 5 best nominess ,in terms of the number of nomination
recived in each category is then put in to a voting stage ,& the most number
of votes received by each category company /personality is declared winner,
after vetting by the advisory board and then by the Auditor-Frost & Sullivan
AWARDS JUDGING
After the closing date for submissions all the nominations will be
collected and reviewed by the judging panel. Each award winner will be decided
by consensus amongst the judges and no correspondence will be entered into by
outside parties. Judging will be based on the strength of the submissions
together with a review of the candidates' activities in the area of nomination. |
